“These are the times that try men’s souls,” are profound words by Thomas Paine in the darkest days of the American Revolution on December 23, 1776. The quote continues, “The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its’ value.”
What we are experiencing right now in America rivals the darkest days that our young nation faced so many years ago. America as a Constitutional Republic is under the most dire threat that we have ever experienced, much worse than when our country became fractured by the secession of southern states during our Civil War. Even then the Confederate States still carried the name ‘America’ as a part of their national identity. The North and the South were divided over the issues of slavery and states’ rights, but still united as Americans with a common history.
America is under attack once again, but this time by an enemy from within. Our very existence as a nation may come down to how many Americans are willing to risk it all, as they did back in 1776, to save our country. And how many will be a “Summer Soldier” and “Sunshine Patriot,” and stand on the sidelines to wait and see what happens?
This time we are not under a direct attack by another nation - though our Russian, Iranian, and Communist Chinese enemies are certainly providing moral, ideological, as well as logistical support to our enemies - but instead we are facing the most dangerous threat one can face: the enemy within.
At some point towards the end of his second term in office, Barack Obama made a comment during an interview when he basically said that after he left office “his work was not finished.” Indeed, it wasn’t. He had been unable to complete his “fundamental transformation” of America during his eight years in the White House. While he had to wait for four years during the Trump presidency, Obama was hell bent that he was going to complete the transformation under the Joe Biden regime.
Everyone recognizes that Joe Biden is barely conscious most of the time. He has no real clue what’s being done under his name, and he has no real authority anyway. Loyal Obamunists like Susan Rice and all the other retreads from the Obama years are the real authority in the White House. Joe Biden says what he’s told to say, signs whatever document they slide in front of him, and then dutifully - much like a Third Grader on his way to the toilet - follows whatever instructions he’s given as he walks away from the podium. He’s an empty suit, and an empty head.
The Obamunists are committed to achieving Barack Obama’s goal. They will do whatever it takes, both legal and illegal. They are true believers in the mantra “the ends justify the means.” We, in turn, must be even more committed to fighting back to prevent this small minority - just like the Bolshevik Revolution was a small minority who imposed communism on the rest of the Russian people for decades - from destroying the America that we love.
How do we fight back? We can’t just be ‘Keyboard Commandos,’ venting on social media and doing little else. We must become better organized than they are. We must become the ‘Foot Soldiers for American Freedom,’ and be prepared to respond to any threat, any action or tactic that comes from them. We run for local elected offices. City council, county council, local and state election officials, other state and local offices. Even condo and subdivision associations. We take these offices back from them and remove them from any position of influence or authority. If we don’t run for city council, then we at least come together and attend their meetings so that we can see firsthand what they are up to, and voice our objections.
We fix our education system so that our youths are no longer being indoctrinated with a Marxist ideology. If your child wants to go to a certain college, check it out. If the faculty and administration are hard core leftists, take your tuition money somewhere else. Make sure colleges know that you will insist on the equal representation of viewpoints that are presented. Run for the local school board in our communities so that we have a say in the curriculum, the choice of textbooks, and in the hiring of teachers and administrators. Bring patriotism and morality back into our classrooms, and prevent our children from being exposed to deviancy and being sexualized at a young age.
Talk to people you know who are typically ‘middle of the road politically,’ others who claim to be independents, and even older adults who have been life-long Democrats. Point out everything that has been going on to them that they are not seeing in the biased news media, so that they can see clearly that this Democrat Party is not the Democrat Party that once was. Show the extreme policies and positions it has taken, and how the Democrat Party has been taken over by hard core leftists and Marxists who are determined to impose their ideology on all Americans.
Demand fairness in the news media. Contact advertisers and let them know that their advertising dollars will be misspent if they continue to advertise in media outlets that are biased and unfair in their reporting. There is power in threatening the ‘bottom line.’
Speak out loudly and clearly that we’ve had enough. And as American patriots “we will not go quietly into the night.” We will stand up and fight back, and use the power of our numbers to take our country back from those who would destroy it and replace it with something unrecognizable.
It’s time to seize the initiative from America’s enemies, and stand tall as a united front in these most desperate and trying times.
