The battle over hydroxychloroquine as a possible treatment for coronavirus is a testament to just how far gone the left is now. That someone like Joy Behar is paid millions of dollars to spew ignorance on television is a testament to just how far gone merit is. That Joe Biden is the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for president is a testament to society’s tolerance of senior abuse. These three individual fecal storms of stupidity came together this week when President Donald Trump announced he was taking the drug as preventative measure after being exposed to White House staffers who tested positive, and the result was Olympic-level stupid.
When President Trump told the press he was taking hydroxychloroquine you could see in his eyes a hint of laughter, knowing full-well the outrage it would spark. Not out of concern for his health, per se – most of them don’t give a damn about that – but out concern that he might not get very sick or die.
The White House press corps have invested a lot of time and energy in declaring hydroxychloroquine to be a deadly drug with no impact whatsoever on coronavirus. Countless stories have insisted the drug, which has been taken by millions of people around the world for about 70 years to combat everything from Lupus to malaria, is just this side of cyanide in its deadly powers. If the President of the United States takes it and survives, well, that would expose those stories as the frauds they are. If he doesn’t even get sick, that would be a fate worse than death for the media.
When the President was simply talking about it in hopeful terms, it was easy for journalists to dismiss it. Studies of it possible effectiveness were brushed aside for reports of people on their last legs not being brought back from the edge of death by the pills and presented as if they were what put the nails in their coffins. It was a sick abuse of the public trust or, since we’re talking about liberal media here, just another day in the office.
If you were one of the people prescribed hydroxychloroquine for arthritis or Lupus, and you trusted the media, you likely called a lawyer about the prospect of suing your doctor for malpractice, and maybe even the police to report your own attempted murder by your health care provider. If you’re a rational person, you likely kept taking the medicine that has made your life significantly better while thinking to yourself, “What a bunch of f*cking idiots,” while watching the news for the past 3 months.

But too many other people – people with egos, bank accounts, and audiences inversely proportional to their IQ – clearly are not rational people, or even intellectually curious people, and have swallowed every bit of propaganda shoveled their way and gleefully asked for more.
That brings us to Joe Biden and Joy Behar.
Maybe it has something to with the initials “JB,” considering how feckless and hypocritical Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is? Either way, Biden and Behar, upon hearing the news of that anyone would take a drug to help them with coronavirus that was almost as old as they are, regurgitated strings of ignorance not seen since…well, the last time they opened their mouths.
Upon hearing that Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Kelly, a man in his 70s with diabetes, was prescribed hydroxychloroquine and actually took it, Behar gasped, “Wow! I can't believe anybody with a brain would take that stuff, but you seem like an intelligent guy. You're a representative in Congress. Why would you take that drug? There are terrible consequences!”
For Kelly, the “terrible consequence” was surviving. Since he’s a Republican, maybe that’s what Joy meant?
But it really wasn’t. She’s an idiot who believes anything she sees on CNN and MSNBC. Behar has been told hydroxychloroquine is the new hemlock, so her shock was genuine.
Joe Biden lives in a perpetual state of shock, generally related to being reminded of where he is and what he’s doing every couple of minutes, so that he would respond to the news of the President’s prescription with, “What in God’s name is he doing?” is about as surprising as the Sun rising in the east. He then rambled on, adding, “There’s no serious medical person out there saying to use that drug. It’s counterproductive.”
Actually, there are no serious medical people out anywhere saying hydroxychloroquine is “counterproductive,” because it being counterproductive would mean it makes coronavirus worse.
Rambling further, Biden tossed in a “Look at the studies that have been done. It does much more harm than good. This is totally irresponsible,” for good measure.
As far as “serious medical” people go, last month 65 percent of doctors said they’d give the drug to their own family if they contracted coronavirus. Are only 45 percent of doctors “serious?" The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons declared, “Hydroxychloroquine Has about 90 Percent Chance of Helping COVID-19 Patients.” Are they not “serious?"
You can almost forgive Biden, after all he’s going senile and lives with someone who insists on being called “doctor,” even though she got her Ph.D. for writing a dissertation on community college education. But the “counterproductive” and “irresponsible” parts are all Joe and are unforgivable.
How many people watch The View or follow Joe Biden? Couple that with the millions who watch CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, and read newspapers and you begin to see what progressive propagandist Joseph Goebbels meant when he said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
For Democrats, both in and out of the media, the lie is everything and it must be protected. If COVID-19 positive people whose doctors recommend hydroxychloroquine recoil at the thought and refuse, ultimately dying, and it’s later proven that this time-tested, relatively harmless drug could have made a difference and saved lives, I don’t know how they will be able to live with themselves. Then again, given their exuberance for lies no matter the damage they do to anyone or the country and their willingness to use the power of government to impose their will on people who simply want to be free to live their lives and take care of their families, I don’t know how they live with themselves now.
