The movie tackles the subject of bullying and tells the story of a star high school quarterback who learns his teammates have been bullying a new student with a troubled past.
The ultimate goal by Walmart and Proctor & Gamble is to release weekly family friendly movies, but officials say they can do that only if the semi-monthly experiment is successful. There will be at least three more Family Movie Nights after Saturday: Aug. 6, Sept. 3 and December (date not yet set). OBAMA NAMES NEW USCIRF COMMISSIONER -- Azizah Y. al-Hibri, a professor of law at the University of Richmond and a leading advocate for Muslim women's rights, was appointed June 7 as a commissioner on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). The body is a nine-member panel that advises the White House, State Department and Congress on the condition of religious freedom overseas. President Obama appointed her.
Al-Hibri will replace outgoing commissioner Imam Talal Eid, founder and executive/religious director of the Islamic Institute of Boston. Al-Hibri is founder and president of KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights.
Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, also serves on the commission.
