Pelosi Claims Republicans 'Can't Handle Their Job' After She Delayed Bipartisan Relief Package

Speaker Pelosi continued pushing partisan rhetoric on MSNBC Thursday afternoon, blaming Republicans on Capitol Hill for the spread of COVID-19.

The "master legislator" claimed that Republicans “couldn’t handle their job,” in response to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and other GOP voices claiming that impeachment distracted from the growing COVID-19 epidemic. Given the stature of impeachment, and the lengthy procedure accentuated by Democrats, months-long partisan impeachment undoubtedly absorbed the attention of lawmakers.

Speaker Pelosi claims that Republicans “did not want to face reality,” and that Republicans caused lives to be lost when she herself ignored the facts and delayed the passage of the original, bipartisan relief package, which was negotiated in good faith by Republicans and Democrats.

It was Speaker Pelosi who did not face reality, when she created a list of far-left policy demands for the relief package, that had absolutely nothing to do with the crisis at hand.

Speaker Pelosi claimed that impeachment was a “solemn” occurrence, despite making a complete scene of the procedure, and an urgent matter. The real urgency was American families facing economic hardship on account of COVID-19, but Speaker Pelosi prioritized her ideological agenda and partisan rancor over Americans in need.
