Giuliani, Trump Lash Out At Bolton Over Ukraine Claims

President Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani lashed out against former National Security Adviser John Bolton on Wednesday over his Ukraine claims. 

In an interview with CBS’s Catherine Herridge, Giuliani said he was tasked with looking into corruption allegations that included former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, who was on the board of Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, but Bolton never shared concerns about his work.

"He never said to me, 'I've got a problem with what you are doing in Ukraine.' Never once, never winked, never sent me a little note," Giuliani said. "That's classic backstabber. So I feel I got a swamp character here. I find his testimony about the president pretty close to incredible."

Calling Bolton a “classic backstabber” wasn’t the only shot Giuliani fired at the former adviser.

When asked about comments by Fiona Hill, a former White House aide who claimed during congressional testimony that Bolton compared the former NYC mayor to “a hand grenade that was going to blow everyone up,” Giuliani took it a step further.

"If he came up to me and said, 'Rudy, you're a grenade that'll blow up,' and he shows his face, I would say, 'I would never have the opportunity, 'cause you're an atomic bomb.'"

Trump’s personal attorney explained he learned about the hold on military to Ukraine in the news, arguing that Trump did not tie the aid to an investigation of the Bidens.
 
 "Never ever discussed military aid with the president, with regard to Ukraine," he said.

President Trump piled on the criticism Wednesday on Twitter.
