Things got heated during Tuesday night's debate when Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) were confronted about reports that Sanders told Warren a woman couldn't win the presidency. Warren reiterated that Sanders did, indeed, make those comments during a private meeting back in 2018. Sanders, naturally, denied the allegations.
We knew things were intense when Warren refused to shake Sanders' hand at the conclusion of the debate. On the live feed we were able to see that some kind of altercation took place but we couldn't hear what was being said.

CNN said they spent all-day tracking audio to match it up with the video that all of us saw. And this is what they came up with:
"I think you called me a liar on national TV," Warren said.
"What?" Sanders responded.
"I think you called me a liar on national TV," Warren said again.
"You know, let's not do it right now. If you want to have that discussion, we'll have that discussion," Sanders said.
"Anytime," Warren replied.
Billionaire Tom Steyer was standing between the two when the altercation took place.
"I don't want to get in the middle. I just want to say hi Bernie," Steyer said.
"Okay, good," Bernie said to Steyer as he shook the billionaire's hand.

Both the Sanders and Warren campaigns have refused to comment on the situation. They both appear to want this topic to die.
