Conservative political activist James O’Keefe promised that the mainstream media would be his next target—but he needs help from ordinary citizens to expose them.
The leader of Project Veritas announced Thursday that he will be offering $10,000 to anyone who can legally provide him evidence of the media’s “corruption, malfeasance and wrongdoing.”
“If you have hidden audio recordings, videotapes or documents inside of a newsroom or media institution, and the material is good enough, I will pay you $10,000,” he says in a video released Thursday.
O’Keefe’s offer comes the same day the group released the first installment of the “CNN Tapes” project, which is 119 hours of audio taken from 2009 inside the cable network’s Atlanta headquarters.
The raw audio was dumped “WikiLeaks style” and the group still has 100 more hours to release.
“The tapes contain soundbites from current and previous CNN employees Joe Sterling, Arthur Brice, and Nicky Robertson, as well as numerous others,” the group’s website states.
