Active Shooter Alert at Andrews Air Force Base Was a False Alarm

Update: The active shooter alert was a false alarm. The "All Clear" has been given at Joint Base Andrews.

Andrews Air Force Base, located in Prince George's County, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C., is on lockdown at the moment after reports of an active shooter. The incident occurred at the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility. A lockdown was enforced just after 9 a.m.

President Obama just landed at Andrews Wednesday night on his return trip from Canada.

The Defense Department is currently investigating the situation. 

A training exercise had been planned for 9 a.m. on Thursday, but Fox News reports it never took place.
