2015 turned out to be a “historic” year for the GOP, according to Chairman Reince Priebus. Pulling in $105.6 million, the Republican National Committee managed to set a fundraising record for the party during a non-election year. He also added that they have $18.7 million cash on hand.
Priebus shared the news Wednesday morning on Twitter:
BREAKING: Historic year for @GOP. Raised off-year record $105.6M in 2015, $18.7M COH. We're the only org focused/ready for general election

According to an RNC source, the Republican Party “out-raised the DNC by roughly $70 million since Jan. 2013 despite not holding the White House,” The Hill reports.
