Now Comey's Hitting the Late Shows to Mock Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey appeared on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Tuesday night to mock President Trump over how much attention he’s given him over the last year.

"He's tweeted at me probably 50 times," he told the host.

"I've been gone for a year, I'm like the breakup he can't get over. He wakes up in the morning ... I'm out there living my best life, he wakes up in the morning and tweets at me."

Trump in recent days has ramped up his attacks on Comey as he’s been promoting his new book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” calling the former director a “slimeball” on more than one occasion and denying some of the allegations he made in his book.

“I never asked Comey for Personal Loyalty. I hardly even knew this guy. Just another of his many lies. His “memos” are self serving and FAKE!” he said Sunday on Twitter, following up by calling him the “WORST FBI director in history, by far!”

Comey has done a number of interviews in recent days promoting his book, the first of which was with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

“I don’t think he’s medically unfit to be president. I think he’s morally unfit to be president,” Comey told Stephanopoulos. “A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they’re pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe him - that person is not fit to be president of the United States on moral grounds.”
