Carly Fiorina: Winning The Presidency Isn't About Gender, It's About Track Records

Appearing on The Kelly File last night, potential GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina argued that running for president isn't about gender as supporters of Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton would have voters believe, but instead is about accomplishments and results of leadership.

"The media doesn't ask Hillary Clinton basic questions like 'what have you actually accomplished?' She's been on the stage for so long. She's been a fixture of Washington for so long. She's been a fixture of politics for so long that people so often think 'well we don't need to ask what she's accomplished, of course she's accomplished something,' and that's why I think it's so important that we be able to fight on the ground of her accomplishments, of her track record, of her transparency, of her candor, of her leadership capabilities and not allow her to play the gender card or talk about the war on women or all the other things she wants to talk about, anything but her track record," Fiorina said. "It's not about your gender, it's about what you believe, what your accomplishments are, what your track record is, what your leadership is."

Fiorina also said it is "crystal clear" Clinton will play the gender card in order to distract away from her record and lack of leadership during her decades long career in Washington D.C. She also said Republicans have to push back against war on women rhetoric when it is used against them.

Meanwhile Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton's daughter, believes it's important for her mother should be elected president because it's "symbolic."
