White House Tries To Clarify Rice's 'Bergdahl Served With Honor and Distinction' Comments

After saying Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl served his country with "honor and distinction" on ABC's This Week Sunday, the always clarifying White House is trying to walk back National Security Advisor Susan Rice's comments. As a reminder:

And the walk-back from GretaWire:

An administration official now tells Fox that Rice meant that we should not forget that Bergdahl was serving his country in general”

“She was referring to the fact that he was over there as a U.S. soldier, volunteered for service, and remember has just endured five years of brutal captivity; she wasn’t necessarily trying to characterize the circumstances of his capture which she said we’d have to learn more about; and let’s not get ahead of the facts that we don’t know yet, we haven’t heard his side of the story yet.”

This "clarification" still makes no sense. Over to you, Bill O'Reilly.

Is Susan Rice a moron?
