"I'm going to spend part of my time starting an institute of politics at the University of Chicago," said Axelrod. "My feeling is if I can help inspire some young people to get into this arena as candidates, as strategists, as journalists, then that would be a great contribution to make."

FLASHBACK: Journalists get caught on a hot mic coordinating an attack on Mitt Romney.

CBS REPORTER JANE CRAWFORD: That’s the question.

NPR REPORTER ARI SHAPIRO: *unintelligible*

CBS REPORTER JANE CRAWFORD: You can’t say that..

**Later**

CBS REPORTER JANE CRAWFORD: I’m just trying to make sure that we’re just talking about, no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question.

NPR REPORTER ARI SHAPIRO: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?
