Wow: New NARAL Ad Compares Pro-life Group to a Molester

Wow: New NARAL Ad Compares Pro-life Group to a Molester

We've seen some shameful and misleading ads this election cycle, but has the pro-abortion organization NARAL crossed the line? In an ad buy that cost over five figures, the group's new video in North Carolina criticizes the pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List for endorsing Republican Thom Tillis and his anti-abortion agenda. That's the predictable part.

What is shocking, however, is an image the NARAL ad uses at the end of the video for comparison: a man sexually molesting a woman.

Watch the ad if you don't believe me:

By including this disturbing picture in the ad, NARAL is shamefully trying to compare the SBA List's pro-life efforts to sexual abuse. Despite the pro-abortion group's tasteless tactics, the truth is that the SBA List works to promote women's health by protecting them and their children from the dangers of abortion. Abortion not only ends the life of a child, it puts women at a higher risk for breast cancer, as well as leaves them vulnerable to symptoms of depression.

Nevertheless, NARAL tries to argue that the SBA List is lobbying for causes that Susan B. Anthony herself would not support. In reality, however, Anthony championed traditional feminism and there is evidence she held pro-life views. For instance, she once referred to abortion as "child murder." With this in mind, it kind of seems like she'd approve of the organization that's working in her name.

How sad that NARAL has to stoop to such shameful levels to attack pro-lifers. Surely the images of abortion's aftermath would be even more disturbing than those NARAL chose to utilize. Yet, in another video produced by the SBA List and Speak Out PAC in North Carolina, the pro-life group takes a more balanced approached, exposing Sen. Kay Hagan's extreme abortion agenda by highlighting a beautiful story about a mother who rejected abortion:
