Awkward: Hillary For America Shares Photo of Bernie Supporter

The Hillary for America tweet looked innocent enough at first: an emotional woman crying tears of joy over Hillary Clinton winning the Democratic Party's nomination for president. After all, Clinton is the first female nominee for president for a major political party--it was a historic day for women, regardless of political affiliation.

There's just one problem: the girl pictured in the tweet, Nida Allam, is not a Clinton supporter. At all.

One of Allam's friends complained on Twitter that Clinton's campaign had "Tokenized" her because she is wearing a headscarf. Others were quick to note that she is definitely not "with her."

Moral of the story: ask before tweeting pictures of "supporters" at a very divided convention.
