California Lt. Gov. Claims It's Easier To Buy A Gun Than A Happy Meal in CA; Politifact Agrees

Fresh off of President Obama's absurd claim that it's easier for some teens to buy a glock than a book, California's Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom has doubled (McDoubled?) down by claiming it's a "fact" that it's easier for someone to buy a gun than to buy a Happy Meal in California.

The Politifact link shared by Newsome clarifies that there are double the number of licensed firearm dealers in the state than there are McDonald's locations. While this is true, not every dealer has a commercial storefront like a McDonald's restaurant.

To purchase a gun in California, a person has to be at least 18 (for a rifle or shotgun) or 21 (for a handgun), provide a state-issued ID card, prove they are legally residing in the state, and wait 10 days before they can receive the gun.

To purchase a Happy Meal in California, a person has to decide between a hamburger, a cheeseburger, or chicken nuggets, and then wait about five minutes.

Which seems easier?
