Actor Kelsey Grammer has never cared what his fellow Hollywood actors nor anyone else thinks of his politics. That was apparent when he proudly showed up to the National Right to Life convention in 2015 and again when he sported bold pro-life apparel.
But he really showed how little he cared about Hollywood's approval this week by admitting to PBS's Christiane Amanpour that he voted for and continues to support President Trump.
Amanpour wondered whether Grammer is sympathetic to Trump critics who believe he is disrupting the fabric of society.
"Well I think fabric being disrupted is a good thing," Grammer replied, before proceeding to offer his opinion of Washington politicians.
"I don’t think Washington didn't do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think they’ve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people," he explained.
Grammer does acknowledge, however, that his Trump support has ignited a "passionate response."
"I don't know if it's as serious or horrible as everybody wants it to be," he said.

Grammer's very outspoken politics has not appeared to put a dent in his incredibly successful career, which includes five Prime Time Emmy Awards and Three Golden Globes. In addition to starring in one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time, "Frasier," he's voiced iconic characters on "The Simpsons" and "Toy Story." More recently he has established himself as an impressive Broadway actor, starring in shows like "Finding Neverland," "La Cage aux Folles" and, currently, "Man of La Mancha" in London's West End.
