Bachmann to Iowa Churchgoers: Turn From 'Wicked Ways,' God Will 'Heal Our Land'

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann eschewed the bully pulpit for a time, turning instead to an evangelical Christian church pulpit in Iowa to declare that, if people “turn away from our wicked ways,” God will “heal our land. And we will have a new day.”

The Minnesota congresswoman didn’t mention politics during the 21-minute talk at Point of Grace Church in Waukee Sunday, discussing instead her own faith and personal history, according to a report in The Des Moines Register.
