You may think the questions regarding Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) and government weaponization are two separate and distinct questions. However, you’d be very wrong in making that distinction.
What does FBI politicization, manifested by the Mar-a-Lago raid, the rousting of Roger Stone in the small hours of the night, or the calculated minimization of all things felonious about Hunter Biden have to do with the seemingly existential questions about flying saucers?
Well, just as the government is lying to you about its alleged non-partisan persecution of former President Donald J. Trump, the existential crisis at the border, and why we’re engaging with the war in Ukraine, so is the government lying to you with regard to the existence of UAP, and it’s possession of physical artifacts.
It is this alacrity and facility with the lie which is deeply corrupting and leading us, slouching, towards totalitarianism.
During a recent interview with Townhall on these matters, Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) quipped, “More people believe in UFOs than believe in Congress.” The statement is a sad testament to the complete loss of faith in our democratic institutions, and also belies an innate understanding that we are not alone in the vastness of the universe. Burchett went further, “America understands that our federal government lies to us. When the pentagon can not account for half a trillion dollars in assets, that’s beyond belief.”
Burchett has led the way in championing government transparency and accountability. As a member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, he has distinguished himself as a true people’s representative, thwarting the hegemony of the administrative state. “Everyone wants to call Washington a swamp…a swamp is something God created…Washington is an open sewer. Everything flows in and nothing flows out, and both parties are guilty.”
And, when it comes to the UAP matter, few have been more engaged. Having participated in the landmark Congressional Hearing on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, Burchett has examined the UAP question in detail. In fact, Burchett was largely responsible for bringing the matter before Congress and arranging sworn testimony. This historic moment was also the work of documentary film maker Jeremy Corbell and journalist George Knapp. History will most certainly recognize these individuals as champions of truth, transparency, and government accountability.
The chilling reality is how comfortable the American people have become with a government that twists the truth with impunity and without consequence. It’s a state of affairs that threatens not only our civil liberties, but our ability to know the truth about fundamental reality.
There is no question that there is a real need for classifying information. However, where no conceivable national security interest obtains, a democratic republic demands that transparency be the rule and not the exception. The First Amendment is meaningless if we are choked with lies and have no truth to voice.
The UAP issue seemed to get off to a flying start (pun intended) last summer with the astounding, sworn congressional testimony of Air Force Officer and former intelligence official David Grusch; former F/A18 pilot Commander David Fravor; and former F/A18 pilot Ryan Graves. Predictably, the long knives were unsheathed. And, a deeply cynical hit piece designed to flay David Grusch was penned by Ken Klippenstein of The Intercept.
Klippenstein smeared Grusch by dredging up an episode of PTSD in a disgusting attempt to leverage a serious condition that affects countless veterans, and implicate Grusch’s congressional testimony. Contrary to Klippenstein’s intention, the piece served only to unmask him as a flack, and has relegated The Intercept (originally founded to give UAP whistleblowers a place to speak) to the realm of tabloid trash, suitable only for catching warm droppings at the bottom of a birdcage.
The deep state never changes its playbook simply because its tactics are effective. In The Intercept piece, the lie was implemented obliquely to attack the veracity of Grusch’s truthful testimony that directly threatens the military industrial complex. To be sure, there are billions at steak. Representative Burchett told Townhall, “There are people in both parties that are getting fat off the industrial war complex. The missile defense system that we sent to Ukraine…people in both parties had invested in that thing…the week before they announced they were doing it.”
The technologies capable of the performance characteristics of UAP, which have been documented via radar, are far beyond the capabilities of our current material science, and represent not just unimaginable financial gain, but the promise of global domination. Therefore, the incentives to obfuscate for both private industry and government are enormous. Disturbingly, Representative Burchett told Townhall, “I was told by someone very high up in the Trump administration that I’d ‘kicked a hornet nest’ on this thing and that ‘you need to get some bodies around you.’”
When Townhall asked about a recent closed door session regarding UAP matters, Burchett stated, “the only thing I was happy about was that I saw Democrats and Republicans walk out of there angry that they were not telling us anything…it’s the same old game.” With the deep state committed to denying the truth to even the most powerful members of Congress, like Chuck Schumer, it is vital that the American people continue to advocate for transparency and militate for it at the ballot box.
What UAP are is a question for science and theologians, but how our government discharges its duty to provide transparency is a matter that will determine the continued viability of what’s left of our constitutional republic.
Burchett was briefed a few weeks ago about incidents involving our submarine force “spotting stuff that is moving at incredible speeds underwater.” When asked about his primary message on the UAP question, Burchett stated, “I just want total disclosure. They wrap it up in national defense and that’s a joke. And if it is something that’s extra-terrestrial…then they need to just tell us. How arrogant of our federal government that they think they need to decide what we can handle.”
