Will the Dems' health care Christmas Present to America be an improvement or detriment to our health care system?

The two men formally running to lead the Republican National Committee are reaching out to bloggers as an initial step to boosting their candidacy and hopefully, growing the party.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis announced his candidacy via Twitter and quickly organized a conference call with new media to discuss his bid Wednesday. He held a follow-up call as he boarded a plane from the Republican Governors Association Meeting on Friday, emphasizing his willingness to “democratize information coming from the party.”

“Obama succeeded because he built an infrastructure and when he became popular they [his supporters] could plug into it…It’s our job as a party to facilitate that infrastructure,” he said.

Former GOP Maryland Senate candidate declared his intent to become RNC Chair on Hannity & Colmes Thursday evening and held a call with right-leaning bloggers the next day.

He said he felt called to run because “I am sick and tired of the whining.”

Steele faulted the current GOP leadership for “the failure to communicate that has undermined our efforts for some time now,” on issues like immigration. He said that too often Republicans have been “manhandled” by liberals from discussing issues out of fear of racism.

“We looked stupid, we looked immature, we looked ugly, we looked mean,” he said. Continued...

Head of RNC
My first choice is Newt too! He knows how to go after the liberal left. If Newt won't then I am leaning towards Michael Steele. If he isn't a true pro-life, conservative that would concerns me a great deal. I too thought J C Watts was a great example of leadership and success, but was alarmed when I too heard he wasn't sure who he would support in Nov. My opinion was he was leaning for Mr. O. I was really disappointed with that thought, but he did come out to support McCain/Palin ticket.
If I knew for sure either Steele or Watts were true conservatives, pro-life, pro-marriage & family values guys...I could support either of them! We need to go back to our core values with leadership that will be out there promoting those values and exposing the lies of the left! Getting out almost daily and being heard!

Michael Steele Is he pro-life?
Michael Steele together with former Gov. Christie Todd Whitman, in the lead, and former Sen. John Danforth founded the Republican Leadership Council(RLC),in March 2007. RLC promotes and supports "moderate" Republicans and "socially tolerant" candidates. In other words pro-choice and pro-gay candidates. They are in partnership with Log Cabin Republicans (pro-gay), Planned Parenthood Republicans for Choice, Republicans for Choice (recruit and fund pro-choice candidates and change party platform)and Republican Majority for Choice. See their web site for more information. I truly like Michael Steele, but believe he is truly pro-choice in spite of what we are reading, unless he repudiates the RLC. He must clarify his position on these issues.
