Mark Judge Says He Has 'No Recollection' of Incident

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has "emphatically denied" the charge that he sexually assaulted a woman in high school, Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) told reporters this week. The accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, claims that Kavanaugh forced himself on her at a party. Mark Judge, the other man she identified who was in the room when the alleged incident occurred, is also refuting Ford's claim. He has no recollection of it, his counsel said in a statement, and he defended Kavanaugh's integrity.

Judge also is refusing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Still, that hasn't stopped media outlets from digging up Kavanaugh's old Georgetown Preparatory School yearbooks to find any scars on the judicial nominee's record. The 1983 yearbook, provided to CNN anonymously, has a caption that reads, "Do these guys beat their wives?" Reporters also found a book written by Judge in which he describes the heavy drinking at Georgetown Prep. It was "positively swimming in alcohol," he recalled.

“The problem is, Dr. Ford can’t remember when it was, where it was, or how it came to be,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) said Tuesday. “There are some gaps there that need to be filled.”

Ford was given the chance to fill in the gaps at Monday's scheduled hearing and most people - Democrats and Republicans - have said she deserves to be heard. But, she has still not agreed to testify.

Some, like Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said that if she doesn't show up, he will support the move to proceed with Kavanaugh's nomination.
