Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz called on President Donald Trump to “end this occupation” of thousands of ICE agents who surged into the state to enforce immigration laws.

Walz has asked President Donald Trump to stop a ‘campaign of retribution’ and to ‘turn down the heat’ one day after telling residents to film ICE agents so they can be prosecuted in the future.

“So tonight, let me say one again to Donald Trump and Kristi Noem: End this occupation. You’ve done enough.”

Walz encouraged Minnesotans to film ICE agents to sue them for doing their jobs.

“So carry your phone with you at all times and if you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record," Walz said. "Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.”

Walz said that one day after rioters broke into a police vehicle and reportedly stole a rifle that was locked inside a vehicle safe.
