Hall of Fame Football Coach Calls Out Harris for Saying That People of Faith Can Support Abortion

Vice President Kamala Harris has been unapologetically pro-abortion up till birth for years, which Townhall has covered. On the campaign trail, Harris has stated again and again that she would support reinstating Roe v. Wade, which allowed for nearly all abortions.

In addition, Harris has claimed that people of faith do not have to abandon their convictions to support pro-abortion policies.

This month, NFL Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy called out Harris for claiming that Americans do not have to “abandon their faith” to support pro-abortion initiatives.

“Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time,” he wrote.

“Exactly what ‘faith’ are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion?  Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)?  Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general ‘faith’ that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions?  What ‘faith’ are you talking about?” he said in a post on X.

Earlier this month, Dungy pointed out that an extreme pro-abortion initiative is on the ballot in Florida.

“In Florida we will be voting on Amendment 4 this November that would take all limits off the timing of an abortion. If it passes we would become the 10th state where that type of late term abortion would be legal. Please don’t distort the facts to make a point,” he wrote in response to a post from the NAACP about third-trimester abortions.
