Pro-Hamas agitators descended on the nation’s capital on Wednesday to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address before a joint session of Congress. As Townhall previously reported, Democrat lawmakers protested the speech, while Rep. Rashida Tlaib sat there with a sign she’d flip that said “war criminal” on one side and “guilty of genocide” on the other. At nearby Union Station, demonstrators burned American flags, replaced them with Palestinian ones, vandalized Liberty Bell and other statues, burned an effigy of Netanyahu, and so on. Not content with their public actions—one radical group sought to sow chaos at The Watergate Hotel, where the prime minister was staying.
According to the Palestinian Youth Movement, maggots, crickets, and mealworms were released inside the hotel, and the hotel’s fire alarm was pulled “to ensure that there will be no rest before Netanyahu and Congress disgraces themselves in front of the world.”

The hotel confirmed the “unfortunate incident," which has many wondering how it was able to happen in the first place.
“Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We took the necessary steps to ensure the property has been sanitized and is now operating as normal,” the statement added. “We are cooperating fully with authorities, who are handling the situation. As this is an open case, we are unable to provide any further details at this time.”
Sen. Marsha Blackburn called for accountability.

This is disgraceful and completely unacceptable.
These individuals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
