Author Michael Shellenberger, who reported on the fourth installment of the "Twitter Files" last month, called out the World Economic Forum as global business and political leaders meet in Davos, Switzerland, this week for the annual meeting. Not only is Davos a "grift" and "cult," he and co-author Izabella Kaminska argue, "it's also a bid for global domination."
In addition to their reporting on Substack, Shellenberger ran through some of the key findings on Twitter, which even gave Twitter chief Elon Musk "the willies."
Shellenberger first tackles the biggest "conspiracies" to come out of the WEF recently—namely the Great Reset, eating bugs, and owning nothing and being happy about it.
Spokespersons for the organization claim they're conspiracy theories, but all of the theories could be found at one point on WEF's website. Instead of standing by them, however, WEF is scrubbing its website.
"WEF Managing Director Adrian Monck last August claimed the 'You'll own nothing and be happy' meme 'started life as a screenshot… by an anonymous anti-semitic account on the image board 4chan,' but that was a lie," he wrote. "It started its life as this WEF article, now deleted."

Shellenberger continued: "It's true that @wef did not delete the creepy video it made with now-infamous 'Own nothing' guy, but it did delete the web page it linked to.
"If WEF is all about transparency, why does it keep deleting web pages?" he asked. "Why do it's (sic) leaders gas-light the public about its agenda? And why, if we must all disclose more of our personal financial information, won't WEF disclose the most basic financial information about itself?"

Furthermore, efforts by media outlets to carry water for the WEF can now be considered "misinformation."
This @AP “debunking” is thus itself a form of misinformation about @wef https://t.co/wkqCGSXndG

The news outlets try because, according to Shellenberger, they're all in the WEF's pocket.
Part of the reason you can’t trust anything the media say about WEF is because WEF has, literally, bought them off with “partnerships”

WEF is a propaganda platform for global elites and corporate media to “transition” us to a low-energy (poorer) worldhttps://t.co/liJGz9WkLW
After saying the reporters' exposé gave him "the willies," Musk joked that a new game could be developed.
I guess there’s value to having a mixed government & commercial forum of some kind. WEF does kinda give me the willies though, but I’m sure everything is fine 👀.

There should be a game show: “4Chan or Davos, who said it?”
