CNN White House reporter Kaitlan Collins has long been reporting on who and who has not been wearing a mask in the Trump White House during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. Just with her tweets, Collins has been reporting about masks and has made it a point to ask about them.
Pence says he didn’t wear a mask because he’s tested on a regular basis, as is his staff. “Since I don't have the coronavirus, I thought it'd be a good opportunity for me to be here, to speak to these researchers, these incredible healthcare personnel” to say thanks.

After he was criticized for not wearing a mask at the Mayo Clinic earlier this week, Vice President Pence is now wearing a mask as he tours a General Motors facility today. pic.twitter.com/qtAPZcILAO

Here's that CDC guidance I asked about during the briefing, where they recommend healthcare providers that are experiencing mask shortages use bandanas "as a last resort" if necessary. https://t.co/073ty27wMI

Asked why he’s not wearing a face mask, Dr. Fauci says he was tested yesterday for coronavirus and it was negative.

Collins's mask beat ran into a bump after she was caught on camera removing her own mask right after the White House press briefing on Friday had ended. The CDC recommends wearing a mask or face covering when you are unable to not be six feet away from people. This helps prevents COVID-19 from spreading to others, especially if you are an asymptomatic carrier.
Collins is clearly within six feet of other reporters after she takes off her mask and begins to walk away from the White House podium.
President Trump tweeted on Sunday that Collins is a "CNN Faker!"

In response, Collins pointed to the death toll from the coronavirus and how Trump is instead tweeting about her.
