Newsom to Give $500 Stimulus Checks to Illegal Aliens

California taxpayers will be cutting $500 Wuhan coronavirus stimulus checks to illegal aliens living in the state, Gov. Gavin Newsom proudly announced on Wednesday.

"California is the most diverse state in the nation. Our diversity makes us stronger and more resilient. Every Californian, including our undocumented neighbors and friends, should know that California is here to support them during this crisis," Gov. Newsom said. "We are all in this together."

But the Democratic governor did not announce any checks for those living in the state legally. The governor said the state checks will be a way to shore up gaps in the CARES Act which did not provide federal relief aid to people unlawfully living in the United States.

To give checks to illegals, the state will allocate $75 million from its Disaster Relief Fund with another $50 million coming from various philanthropic organizations. Gov. Newsom said the payments will be directed through regional nonprofits that have expertise in reaching out and dealing with the illegal alien community.

According to the governor, illegal aliens will be able to apply for the $500 checks, with a $1,000 maximum per household, beginning in May. The governor anticipated only 150,000 illegal aliens, a small portion of California's staggering illegal alien population, would ultimately receive checks, likely due to the program's limited funding.

Illegal aliens depress wages and take jobs away from American workers. Now California taxpayers will be cutting them checks. Rewarding people who break our laws to enter the country and then steal jobs away from American workers will only incentivize more individuals to come here illegally.
