Elise Stefanik Raises 1.5M in Quarter One

Rep. Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) re-election campaign announced a huge fundraising haul in quarter one. The rising GOP star brought in over $1.5 million in the first quarter alone, leaving Rep. Stefanik with $4 million in cash-on-hand thus far for her re-election in November.

The haul included an average donation of $35 from 43,000 individual donors, including 22,000 first-time donors, indicating that Rep. Stefanik’s outreach effort is effective. Likewise, E-PAC, a fundraising group launched by Rep. Stefanik, which exclusively supports GOP women running for Congress, raised $150,000 in quarter one, totaling $750,000 since its relaunch for the 2020 cycle. E-PAC donated $350,000 thus far to female GOP candidates, and assisted in raising an additional $100,000 for those GOP women running for Congress. E-PAC saw a huge sweep of wins in Super Tuesday primaries, and is well-positioned to help elect a substantial amount of GOP women to Congress in November.

As her district's small businesses feel the economic effects of COVID-19, Rep. Stefanik supports financial relief for small businesses across America. Democrats continue to block funding for the Paycheck Protection Program.

Rep. Stefanik has also emerged as a fierce supporter of accountability for the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) role in the spread of COVID-19, which was elevated by the World Health Organization. She joined Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) in pushing for a bicameral resolution to launch an international investigation into China’s cover-up.

Rep. Stefanik is challenged by progressive challenger Tedra Cobb, but Cook Political Report, Inside Elections and Crystal Ball all rate the race as “Solid Republican.”
