House Judiciary Dems Continue to Believe China's Reported Coronavirus Cases to Attack Trump

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) sent a tweet on Thursday showing he believes the reported number of Wuhan coronavirus cases in China, despite a recent report from the U.S. intelligence community that concluded the Chinese Communist party's reporting on cases and deaths from COVID-19 is intentionally incomplete and fake.

Cohen was responding to a tweet from NBC News THINK contributor Kurt Bardella, who said President Trump "isn’t capable enough to lead us out of this crisis. He’s not smart enough. He’s not informed enough. He’s not empathetic enough."

Cohen agreed with Bardella's assertion and added, "This is why #Trump made “America First” in #coronavirus infections and deaths. #TrumpOwnsEveryDeath."

The Democratic House Judiciary Committee's Twitter account retweeted Cohen's criticisms.

"The fact that Congressman Cohen is praising liberal hack pundits who recklessly regurgitate China's talking points during a time of crisis is pathetic, but not surprising. Neither man is taken seriously inside his party or the beltway, but both have shown that they will betray their own values to attack President Trump. I feel bad for them honesty," a GOP source close to the Judiciary Committee said in response to Townhall.

China's trustworthiness on anything related to the COVID-19, which originated in their city of Wuhan, is almost non-existent since their government suppressed news about the virus until it was too late to stop it from leaving the country, gave other countries faulty medical equipment, spread conspiracy theories on the virus' origins, and medical whistleblowers have disappeared.
