UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Friday he has tested positive for coronavirus.
"Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus,” he tweeted along with a video message.
"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
"Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."

Earlier this week, Downing Street named British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to become acting prime minister if Johnson or his top aides became unwell due to coronavirus, but for now it seems Johnson still able to lead.
"Be in no doubt that I can continue, thanks to the wizardry of modern technology, to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus," he says in the video. "I want to thank everybody involved and, of course, our amazing NHS staff."
Earlier this week Prince Charles also tested positive for coronavirus.
“He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working form home throughout the last few days as usual," Clarence House said in a statement.
The U.K. has 11,816 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to data from John Hopkins University, with at least 580 deaths.
