Bernie Staying in the Race, Will Challenge Biden on the Issues

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) held a press conference in his hometown of Burlington on Wednesday afternoon, after former Vice President Joe Biden swept Tuesday night's primaries. Sen. Sanders is set to debate VP Biden on Sunday night; despite Biden all but locking the nomination up, Sen. Sanders is said to be staying in the race:

Sen. Sanders opened his presser by ripping President Trump as a "pathological liar," "racist," "sexist," "homophobe" and "xenophobe," before acknowledging that mini-Super Tuesday was a fail for his campaign.

While acknowledging that VP Biden does well with "older voters," Sen. Sanders insists that younger voters favor his progressive stances:

"We are winning the ideological debate, but losing the debate over electability," he said.

Sen. Sanders promised to press VP Biden on the issues on the debate stage on Sunday night:

Sunday night's debate is hosted by CNN in Phoenix, Arizona.
