Donald Trump Jr., son of President Trump, said he would be more than willing to debate Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden, on the difference of themselves personally benefiting from their fathers being in political office.
Trump Jr. issued the challenge while speaking with Axios and also announced he would release his tax returns if Biden would do the same.
"I was an international businessperson before my father got into politics. That's what we did. I'm not going to say I haven't benefited from my father's last name, just like Hunter Biden did, I'd be foolish to say that," Trump said.
"I haven't benefited from my father's taxpayer funded office," Trump Jr. asserted. "Hunter Biden, his father becomes VP, all of a sudden he goes over to the Ukraine and he's making $83,000 a month."
Trump Jr. said the Trump Organization stopped doing any new international business deals when Trump won the presidency. He noted that he has done paid speeches for over a decade and he stopped accepting invitations to paid speaking events in other countries.
"I'd 100% debate [Hunter Biden]. Let's talk about who profited off of whose public service. Let's make it happen."

Biden is currently living in a 2,000-square-foot house in Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles where, according to a recent New York Times profile, his new hobby of painting "is literally keeping me sane." Biden's position on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma when his father was vice president was what sparked the impeachment of Trump after he asked the country to investigate allegations of corruption while discussing military aid.
While Trump was impeached by Democrats in the House, Senate Republicans acquitted him on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
