The Supreme Court is currently hearing Russo v. June Medical Services LLC. The case focuses on a Louisiana law that requires an abortion provider to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. The Court has to decide whether or not the state law violates their 2016 decision in Whole Women's Health v. Hellerstedt, which struck down two Texas laws that required physicians who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital and required abortion clinics to have facilities comparable to an ambulatory surgical center.
Pro-abortion supporters gathered for a rally outside the Supreme Court steps. One of the speakers was Renee Bracey Sherman, a self-described "Beyonce of Abortion Storytelling."
"Where the abortion providers at? Where the future abortion providers at?" she screamed into the microphone. "Awesome! And a special shout out: where are all my people who had abortions?"
Bracey Sherman smiled.
"Nothing about this work is gonna be without us. Whoo!" she screamed. "Awesome! So, as I said, I had an abortion when I was 19. It was, honestly, one of the best decisions of my life. I was simply not ready to become a parent and that's all you really need to know."

The MC said it's been "really difficult" to see restrictions that have been placed on abortion over the last 10 years.
