Kim Kardashian: The Media Won't Tell You About This Trump Policy, So I Will

Celebrity Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday blasted the mainstream media for failing to cover President Donald Trump's criminal justice reform policies. The First Step Act was a public policy win for the president, especially considering Democrats tout criminal justice reform as one of their issues.

With the First Step Act, President Trump commuted Alice Marie Johnson's sentence. She was serving a life sentence for a first time, nonviolent drug offense.

Kardashian West met with President Trump about Johnson back in 2018. A couple days after the meeting, Johnson's sentence was commuted. Now, she's working with Kardashian West and Cut 50, Van Jones' criminal justice reform group, to advocate for changes to the criminal justice system.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star traveled to the White House with Johnson, Crystal Munoz, Judith Negron and Tynice Hall to discuss what changes need to be made on the criminal justice front.

Kardashian West took to Twitter to give a bit of background on each of the women and how the First Step Act positively made a difference in their lives.

It's not surprising the mainstream media isn't covering this. After all, Democrats have long-touted criminal justice reform as one of their "go-to" topics. Instead of talking about it President Trump has delivered. Covering these stories would mean they would have to praise the president, and we all know how the left feels about that.
