Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency John Brennan and former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation James Comey announced they will be supporting former Vice President Joe Biden for the 2020 presidential election.
Both Brennan and Comey heaped praised on Biden, with Brennan tweeting on Monday that the former Delaware senator "is one of the most honest, decent, practical, & experienced individuals with whom I have ever worked."
Comey said he voted in the primary for Biden "to support party dedicated to restoring values in [the White House.]"

The Biden campaign, however, flat out rejected Comey's endorsement. The director of rapid response for Biden's campaign mockingly said he "just received a package that I very much did not order. How can I return it, free of charge?"

Former National Security Adviser to President Barack Obama Susan Rice also endorse Biden. In a tweet on Sunday, Rice said, "There is no one kinder, more empathetic and caring than [Biden.] He will lead America with the same deep compassion and decency."

Biden is gaining ground on rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (VT) after a strong victory in the South Carolina primary. One endorsement he has yet to receive is Obama's, despite having been his vice president for eight years.
