Leslie Marshall Shares ‘Proof’ that Biden Isn’t All Gaffes

Former Vice President Joe Biden's Democratic primary crash and burn was a topic on Thursday's edition of "Outnumbered" on Fox News. Most of the contributors on the couch agreed that Biden's White House run is kaput after his dismal showings in both the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary. He came in an abysmal fifth place in the Granite State on Tuesday. Not that he knew that. He skipped town before the results came in.

Some blame it on the whole scandal that came with his son Hunter and his work for the corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings, which often played a starring role in President Trump's Senate impeachment trial last month. Most others blame it on the VP's gaffes. He's stuttered through speeches and town hall answers, and lashed out at voters.

Liberal radio talk show host and Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall said that's not the whole story, and used a semi-recent event as an example to prove Biden is still very much coherent.

“There weren’t the gaffes and there wasn’t the question, 'is it dementia?'" Marshall recalled. "He clearly, when he starts to stutter, reduces his anxiety, takes a moment not to stutter, and I think gets off track for a second because he’s so focused on not stuttering.”

“And I was this close to him so I saw it with my own eyes,” she said, motioning to the distance between herself and Charles Hurt, who was sitting next to her on the "Outnumbered" couch.

Hurt didn’t look convinced, nor did the other panelists. Especially after his gaffe-heavy New Hampshire concession speech from his South Carolina HQ on Tuesday, where his campaign apparently refused to even display the results on TV.

There's no getting around the fact that despite having the name ID and donor base that rivals anyone else in the competition, Biden got beat by Bernie and an obscure small town mayor, South Bend's Pete Buttigieg.

"He got fourth place in Iowa and fifth place in New Hampshire," noted Lisa Boothe. "That is terrible. He is a terrible candidate. He will not be the Democratic nominee. He should bow out."

"It's pathetic," she later added.

Hurt noted that Biden had a history of saying "really stupid things" and he's made the standard so low to replace him as the frontrunner.

And with two wins under his belt, that new frontrunner seems to be Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT). That scares Democratic leadership, according to Hurt, and they are desperate to stop the democratic socialist from getting the nomination.
