What
New Hampshire is the first true primary test for these White House hopefuls. After the disaster in Iowa surrounding the release of the caucuses’ results, candidates hope for a smoother evening.
Where
Polling for New Hampshire’s primary is mixed; most have Sen. Bernie Sanders or Pete Buttigieg coming out on top. Sen. Sanders edged out Buttigieg in the last round of polling for New Hampshire after a tough fight in Iowa. Sen. Warren and former VP Joe Biden were ranked closely at third and fourth, followed by Sen. Klobuchar.
When
Polls in New Hampshire opened at 8 a.m. EST and close at 7 p.m or 8 p.m. EST, depending upon the county. Calls will begin to be made after 8 p.m when all polling locations are closed.
Why
New Hampshire is still a swing state in the general election, but the Granite State is important for Democratic voters ahead of Nevada and South Carolina; the eventual winner will have a momentum boost.
