CNN’s bias was in full force Tuesday evening during the seventh Democratic debate, particularly in the way the moderators clearly favored Sen. Elizabeth Warren over Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Moderator Abby Phillip asked Sanders about the private meeting he had with Warren in which he allegedly told her (according to the network's reporting) that he didn't think a woman could win the election.
The Vermont senator said the idea he would believe that is “incomprehensible” and pointed to footage of him from 30 years ago talking about how a woman could become president of the United States.
SANDERS: Well, as a matter of fact, I didn't say it. And I don't want to waste a whole lot of time on this, because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want. Anybody knows me knows that it's incomprehensible that I would think that a woman cannot be president of the United States.
Go to YouTube today. There's a video of me 30 years ago talking about how a woman could become president of the United States. In 2015, I deferred, in fact, to Sen. Warren. There was a movement to draft Sen. Warren to run for president. And you know what, I said — stayed back. Sen. Warren decided not to run, and I then — I did run afterwards.
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million votes. How could anybody in a million years not believe that a woman could become president of the United States? (Des Moines Register)
“So, Senator Sanders, I do want to be clear here; you’re saying that you never told Senator Warren that a woman could not win the election?” she asked.
“That is correct,” Sanders responded.

Mind you, CNN does not have Sanders on video saying he didn’t think a woman could be president—the network’s reporting was based on anonymous sources. Instead of treating it as an allegation, Phillip turned to Warren with a question that assumed Sanders was lying.
“Sen. Warren, what did you think when Sen. Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?” she asked.
Twitter users excoriated the network over the blatant bias.
what absolute garbage. https://t.co/dpmA6QpRsQ

That question itself indicts CNN for deliberately running the Warren team's hit on Sanders, which was unbelievable on its face, w/o verifying whether Sanders ever said it. CNN is neither a news organization nor a neutral arbiter. It's a propaganda outfit. https://t.co/Om9Novhn2p

How did CNN just pretend that Bernie didn’t totally deny that he said a woman couldn’t win and pretend like it it was a fact just because Warren said so? It’s not like her entire persona isn’t built on lies...

Is the fix against Bernie in again???
Seriously it is outrageous that CNN would take Warren's accusation as a statement of fact. Media malpractice

Bernie: “Correct.”
CNN: “Warren, what did you think when Sanders said a woman couldn’t win the election?”
Reminder: CNN helped rig the primary against Bernie in 2016. #DemDebate pic.twitter.com/xMxwI3Mq8h
I'm glad the left is finally coming to the realization that the network that had to pay a settlement to a 17-year-old the other day is in fact trash#CNNisTrash

I can't believe the way CNN framed this as fact. Such bullshit. It is disputed at best. This is why no one trusts the media. Congratulations. #DemDebate

That wasn't the only time the network showed clear favoritism toward Warren.
CNN is the real loser of tonight’s debate. The bias isn’t even subtle with how they phrased these questions. I could laugh #CNNistrash pic.twitter.com/8shU6NSdDC

It's no wonder #CNNIsTrash and #NeverWarren are still trending.
