Guess Which 2020 Democrats Were Silent About the Attack on the al-Asad Airbase

UPDATE (1:15 a.m. EST):

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) posted the following video and message on her Twitter page:

ORIGINAL POST:

On Tuesday, Iran launched a coordinated rocket attack against American forces stationed at the al-Asad airbase in Iraq. The attack came after President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike that killed Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force.

Many political pundits and figures were quick to take to Twitter to share their thoughts, concerns and prayers. Interestingly enough, only half of the 2020 Democrats even acknowledged that the attack took place.

Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and billionaires Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer were all silent about the attack.

I'm not one to give former Vice President Joe Biden credit but he deserves credit in this regard. His team acknowledged the attack. They put out a statement on Twitter. But instead of launching attacks at President Trump for "bringing this on," which is the typical talking point, he said he wants to learn more information about what took place first. Many other Democrats would be wise to learn something here. Creepy Uncle Joe doesn't get it right all too often. When he does they should pay attention.

It's really quite shocking that Tulsi Gabbard has been silent. After all, she pens herself as this foreign policy expert. And Sens. Warren and Sanders love to hit at President Trump any chance they get. It's surprising they haven't blamed him in one way or another.

Bloomberg and Steyer are too busy dropping large sums of money on ad buys so the fact that they're silent is pretty much in line with their personalities.
