Trump Responds to Being Cut Out Of 'Home Alone 2'

President Trump joked about the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation editing his cameo out of “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” saying it was probably because he upset Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over trade and NATO spending.

“I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!” he said, tweeting out a FOX 13 Tampa Bay article about the cut.

After outrage over the edit, CBC issued a statement saying the scene was trimmed due to time constraints.

“As is often the case with feature films adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited for time," a CBC spokesperson told the Huffington Post. "The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot. These edits were done in 2014 when we first acquired the film and before Mr. Trump was elected President.”

Trump wrote another tweet saying “the movie will never be the same!” adding that he was “just kidding.”

The president then retweeted a Mediaite article featuring comments Townhall’s Katie Pavlich made on "Fox & Friends" calling the edit “censorship.”

The scene in question featured Kevin McAllister (Macaulay Culkin) in The Plaza Hotel asking a stranger (Donald Trump) for directions to the lobby. McAllister was alone in the Big Apple after getting on the wrong flight while his family traveled to Florida.
