Reporters with the Washington Post shared a photo of themselves enjoying a late dinner after the House of Representatives officially voted to impeach President Trump along mostly party lines. The caption of the photo, posted by reporter Rachel Blade, wished people a "Merry Impeachmas," a coin termed and excitedly used by liberals and leftists on social media.
The tweet was later deleted after heavy backlash.
Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale and White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham responded to Blade's post.

Trump was impeached on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress charges after a full day of debate in the House on Wednesday. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) indicated she will not send the articles to the Senate until there are assurances the trial will be fair.
Giving the reporters the benefit of the doubt, they were celebrating the end of a very long workday, not necessarily celebrating Trump's impeachment. It is tone-deaf at best since the way they chose to express their celebration was by using a term predominately used by liberals to mock the president.
Blade said she deleted the tweet because it was being misinterpreted and, "To be absolutely clear, we at the Post are merely glad we are getting a break for the holidays after a long 3 months."
