Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) made it clear to House Democrats the two articles of impeachment will not go far in the Senate after they were passed Wednesday evening.
Zero House Republicans voted for the two articles, abuse of power and obstruction after the chamber debated over them all day on Wednesday.
"The impeachment Articles passed by the House of Representatives will meet a quick demise in the Senate," Graham tweeted, adding he believes Trump will be reelected and Republicans will take back the House because of the impeachment process.

President Trump is more likely to be re-elected and the House is in play for 2020!
"I think [Senate] Republicans are going to be very reluctant to legitimize what the House did because if you care about the president as an institution, what they did in the House is really a threat to the presidency. They started in the House Intel Committee. The President's lawyer was not present. It was hearsay upon hearsay behind closed doors. Selectively leaking information. The only actual fact witness exonerated the president. This is the first impeachment done by partisan politicians," Graham told Fox News' Sean Hannity after the vote.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi indicated the House will not send the articles over to the Senate until they guarantee the Senate trial will be fair.
