Elizabeth Warren Wants to be Elected by Popular Vote...But There's a Catch

Massachusetts Senator and 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has announced she wants to be elected by popular vote, but only after winning the electoral college the first time around. The claim came during a town hall style meeting in Waterloo, Iowa over the long Thanksgiving weekend. 

Since twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump, Democrats have been on a crusade to end the electoral college. 

This isn't the first time Warren has called for an elimination of the current electoral system. Earlier this year she said the same during a CNN town hall. She also believes felons should be able to vote.
