Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Thursday afternoon requesting documents related to former Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma.
Graham wants to know the details of phone calls made between Vice President Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko about a prosecutor Biden demanded he fire in 2016. During that time, the prosecutor was reportedly investigating Burisma, where Hunter Biden was making $83,000 per month for sitting on the board. Hunter Biden has no expertise in the oil and gas industry.
"To assist in answering questions regarding allegations that Vice President Biden played a role int he termination of Prosecutor General Shokin in an effort to end the investigation of the company employing his son, I request the following [documents]," Graham wrote.
Here is what he is requesting:
1. All documents and communications, including call transcripts or summaries, related to the Vice President’s phone calls with President Poroshenko on February 11, 18, and 19 and March 22 of 2016, especially with respect to whether Vice President Biden mentioned the Prosecutor General’s investigation into Burisma.
2. All documents and communications between the Vice President and his office and President Poroshenko and his office after the raid on Mr. Zlochevsky’s home on February 2, 2016, until the dismissal of the Prosecutor General on March 29, 2016.
3. All documents and communications related to a meeting between Devon Archer, a business partner of Hunter Biden, and Secretary of State John Kerry on March 2, 2016.
The request comes as the Senate prepares to hold an impeachment trial. This will happen after the House Judiciary Committee officially draws up articles of impeachment and sends them to the floor for a vote.

During the impeachment inquiry, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff refused to call Hunter Biden for testimony, despite multiple requests he do so from Republican members.
