Another 'DREAMer' Arrested For Human Smuggling

Border Patrol agents arrested a "DREAMer" for smuggling an illegal alien into the United States. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient, a 29-year-old woman living in Colorado, and another passenger in her vehicle were caught at an immigration checkpoint in Pima County, Arizona, around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

During a secondary inspection, the other passenger in the vehicle was determined to be a twenty-one-year-old illegal alien from Mexico. U.S. Customs and Border Protection stated the vehicle was seized, the "DREAMer" was arrested on human smuggling charges and the illegal alien is set to be processed for his immigration violations.

In June 2012, President Barack Obama unilaterally created the DACA program by executive order, despite repeatedly admitting that it was unconstitutional for him to do so.

Supporters of the DACA program argue that children of illegal aliens, who were brought here "through no fault of their own," are as every bit of American as anyone else in the country. But the DACA program did not actually require applicants to have entered the United States through "no fault of their own." According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), many DACA recipients were not brought into the country as young children, but rather they were smuggled in as "'tweens' (ages 8-12)" and many more crossed the border on their own.

According to FAIR, "over 2,000 individuals approved for DACA had their status terminated because they were convicted of crimes ranging from alien smuggling to sexual assault. And the number of DACA recipients subject to termination is still growing."

New government data reveals that nearly 80,000 DACA recipients who have prior arrests records were approved for the DACA program.

A lot of these DREAMers are turning out to be complete nightmares.
