Fox News anchor Bret Baier voiced his displeasure at President Trump often calling the American news media the "enemy of the people." Trump and his allies have used "enemy of the people" to describe the media as a step up from their other favorite jab, "fake news."
Baier was on "CBS This Morning" Monday to discuss his new book Three Days at the Brink: FDR’s Daring Gamble to Win WWII when he was asked about Trump's recent criticisms toward Fox News.

Baier says he has taken Trump's criticism toward the network and himself "in stride" because "it's part of the deal."
"Listen, we're just trying to call balls and strikes. And if we can do that every day, be fair to him, but also cover the news fairly to all sides, that's what I'm trying to do," he said.
He was then asked if he feels Trump using "the enemy of the people" to describe journalists consistently "endangers" them.
"I think it is a problem. I don't love that. That's a bad phrase. I think we're all trying to do our job," Baier replied.
