President Trump suggested Friday that if the Supreme Court rules favorably on ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that an immigration deal will get done.
“DACA will be going before the Supreme Court,” he said on Twitter. “It is a document that even President Obama didn’t feel he had the legal right to sign - he signed it anyway! Rest assured that if the SC does what all say it must, based on the law, a bipartisan deal will be made to the benefit of all!”

Lawmakers have previously been unable to reach a bipartisan deal on comprehensive immigration reform, so it remains to be seen what, exactly, Trump has in mind.
The Supreme Court announced in June that it will take up DACA during their next term. While that term begins in October, their decision would not be announced until a few months before the election, in late June or early July of 2020.
Trump called DACA a "totally illegal document" that which would expand presidential powers.
