After Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), a progressive member of "The Squad," made comments at Netroots Nation this weekend regarding the need for certain kinds of minority voices, classical liberal and talk show host Dave Rubin slammed Pressley and the left as comprising what he says are the "new bigots."
"We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice," Rep. Pressley said on Saturday.
Pressley for her part said this quote was taken out of context after a portion of it was tweeted by the Washington Post's Dave Weigel.
"Just stop it. I said no such thing & spent much of my air time (as did the other Mbrs of Congress) lauding @RepBarbaraLee & others. I was inferring nothing. I was celebrating the power & value of *every* person's voice based on their lived experiences," she tweeted at Weigel.

"I respect, govern, fellowship & lead with @TheBlackCaucus colleagues daily & @RepBarbaraLee was in the audience! In my riff, I cited #women #queer #disabled #black #brown et al I was empowering those in attendance that their voices matter & belong everywhere," she explained.

Well, it is unclear what she meant when she said she "said no such thing." She is on video saying exactly what Weigel quoted.

So if Pressley is saying she supports all voices of minorities and encourages them to speak their minds, why does she tolerate the left's constant discrimination against conservative minorities?
Perhaps Dave Rubin has the answer. "Progressives are the new bigots. It’s really that simple. They’re obsessed with color, religion, sexuality and gender. Nobody else is, which is why they’re constantly doing backflips to outdo each other," he tweeted Monday morning.

(For all non-bigots who enjoy life how was your weekend?) https://t.co/AfYzQufZp6
Of course, Pressley does not support all minority voices -- only those who happen to agree with her and the far-left.
