BREAKING: Sarah Sanders is Leaving the White House

President Trump announced Thursday afternoon longtime White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will be leaving her position at the end of June.

“This has been an honor of a lifetime and an opportunity of a lifetime,” Sanders said from the White House Thursday. “I’ve loved it. I’ve loved the President...it is truly the most special experience. The only thing that might top it is my three amazing kids and I’m going to spend a little more time with them.”

Before joining the administration, Sanders worked on the Trump campaign and was promoted to press secretary after former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer left in 2017.

In recent months, the White House has ended the practice of press briefings in favor of press conferences, gaggles, social media and direct work with reporters.
