John Brennan served as the CIA director from 2013 through January 2017. He oversaw the agency during the Trump transition and took orders from President Obama. After leaving the agency, he ended up at MSNBC where he regularly claimed President Trump colluded with the Russian government to steal the 2016 presidential election from Hillary Clinton. He abused his security clearance, which was eventually revoked, and stated President Trump committed treason.
Now that Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation has concluded, with the publication of a 400-page report available for public consumption, we know that's not true. In fact, according to Attorney General Bill Barr, President Trump was falsely accused.
On Capitol Hill, lawmakers like Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham want to know how we got here and how the spying on the Trump campaign started.
According to former Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos, whose tenure was brief, the CIA sent a spy to seduce him at a bar in order to gather information. He also suggests the British were also spying on the campaign. Watch:
